Welcome to the Australian Air League (AAL), Padstow Squadron website. The information below is about our open night, being held on Friday 23rd March 2012.

At the Open Night you have the opportunity to visit our Squadron to learn about the opportunities the Australian Air League can offer your son.

The night starts at 7.30pm, at the Endeavour Hall, 89 the River Road, Revesby

During the night you can speak to the Officers and Cadets about membership, as well as activities that Padstow Squadron has to offer.


The open night program will showcase aspects of AAL membership, including;

  • Guidance in Leadership, Ethics, Integrity, Teamwork and Self Discipline;
  • Free Musical tuition in our Squadron Drum and Fife band;
  • Physical and outdoor activities (including Camping);
  • The educational badge syllabus of related aviation subjects (providing invaluable grounding for aviation ambitions- hobby and career);
  • Our extensive Aero-Modeling program including Balsa, Plastic, Electric Flight and Model Rocketry.
  • Our role in promoting Good Citizenship through Community Service.


On the night try out some challenging activities such as ....

  • Compete in the glider 'spot landing' competition for some great prizes;
  • Try your hand on our remote control model flight simulator;
  • Pilot the 'Hangar Rat' around Endeavour Hall;;
  • Make a Fife to practise and play the National Anthem.;


Those who pre-register to attend the open night will go into the draw to win a fabulous lucky door prize.

The night concludes at 9.00pm with refreshments and light supper. Please feel free to hang about for a cuppa and to discuss membership options with the officers present.
